Join the 2026 Hobby Challenge

A gentle nudge to finish what we start, while building armies ready for the table top. Join us for one or both:

• Buried Under Plastic 2026. Finish one Combat Patrol each quarter (with a playful “trap” that can bury your opponent under extra plastic).
• 2026 Army Build. build a legal 2,000–2,026-point Warhammer 40,000 army within the calendar year.

A personal challenge in a public space. It runs on trust, light-touch verification, and a bit of friendly pressure. Buy something new, build an old gift, or complete something from the pile-of-shame.

What Started it All?

We kept collection models, but they were all the same factions. We hoarded the unbuilt and unfinished, and realised that the "pile of shame" was becoming our storage space.

So we created a challenge. Build a Combat Patrol each quarter for a year. This would allow us to expand into different factions and try something different. But, what happens if we finished? Well, any additional build would have to be matched. So, there was the possibility of burying each other under plastic...

So, what happens to our main focus? To add to the challenge, we also had to finish an army of 2,000 points within a calendar year. Lots of models, and lots of competition.

How will we go? No idea...
